I'm a Master

Left to Right: Jasmine, Alyssa, Krystle, Jose V.

Graduation was great.  I had to wake up early to get to campus at 7:15 am and I nearly thought my grandma was going to make me late.  It all worked out though, I've learned from CBB not to worry too much about time schedules and deadlines :)  The first ceremony was grad and undergrad students and that took a long time but I had fun sitting next to Mel and Aaron and chatting it up with Caz about UFC 98 the night before.  Walking across the stage and having them put the master's hood on was cool, I only wish more friends could've been there.  The second ceremony was more intimate and CBB was the rowdy bunch.  It was great to be with my cohort and faculty members one last time.  I was also grateful for my family and how proud they were of me.  I was selected as one of the speakers to represent CBB and although speech writing was frustrating, I think it turned out okay.  I heard from a few people that I'm a natural public speaker.  I had lunch with Maya and my family downtown and that was funny to see all the small town Fillmore folks surrounded by so many people and such big buildings.  My family left that afternoon but Robbie and Brianna stayed to spend a little more time with me.  I'm glad they did, I would've felt incredibly lonely if not for them.  We mostly hung around North Park, had good Mexican food and did some boxing and Robbie did jiu jitsu.  I think that's the only reason he really stayed behind, he wanted to hang out at the dojo.  I know he's jealous I get to learn BJJ from an actual black belt in a legit gym.

I took today off and wanted to take the entire week off but the professor wasn't up for that.  I hate my job and I realize I say that often but I have anxiety attacks when I think about having to go to work there.  I know I need another job but it's been tough searching.  I've applied to many jobs in the San Diego area but I keep getting rejected and so I've broadened my search to the Long Beach and Ventura county areas.  I think they'd be nice places to live and work, not too far from Disneyland and closer to my family.  I miss them a lot already.

P.S. I'll post more grad pictures but my camera broke that morning and so I'm depending on others to share :)  Maya was kind enough to be my picture taker during the second ceremony.
